The Blue Pond is an impressive, beautiful cobalt blue that you will never forget once you see it.
It was suddenly created on the Biei River during disaster prevention construction work, and is a mesmerizing, mysterious blue world. It is said that

the water is blue because the Biei River mixed with the groundwater of the waterfall, creating a colloidal state. Another fascinating feature is how the blue color changes depending on the time, weather, and the color of the surrounding trees.

A waterfall with a drop of about 30m that falls into the Biei River like a white beard. It is one of the rare waterfalls in Japan, where groundwater falls from cracks in the lava layers, creating a "submerged explosion."
The contrast between the white waterfall flowing down and the cobalt blue that spreads over the water surface is beautiful, making this a spot where you can feel the power of nature.
