Day 5 :

Sagano Scenic Train

Board the retro diesel locomotive and depart! The train will travel at a speed of about 25km per hour, a little faster than a bicycle. Enjoy the beauty of the valley and the fresh greenery along the Hozu River! In places with particularly beautiful scenery, the train will slow down so you can enjoy the scenery at your leisure. The conductor's humorous announcements are also part of the fun!

Hozugawa River Cruise (approx. 2 hours)

Japan's longest and longest! Set off on the Hozugawa River Cruise, a trip Kyoto is proud of around the world! Rowing vigorously into the pure waters of the Hozugawa River, we travel approximately 16km to Arashiyama. Enjoy a luxurious boat trip that brings you into contact with nature while looking up at the fresh greenery that colors the gorge.

Don't miss the skilled rod handling by the experienced boatmen! The boat is filled with excitement as they navigate the deep abysses and rapids. Arashiyama Free Walk (about 2.5 hours)

After arriving at the Arashiyama dock, you will have plenty of free time to wander around. In addition to the beautiful scenery around Togetsukyo Bridge, the bamboo forest path where you can walk in the cool air is also a popular walking spot. There is also a wide variety of gourmet food to eat while walking around, such as Japanese sweets and local specialties. We

Participation Restrictions

If there are fewer than six participants the tour may not operate.
On the day of the tour, there will be only one tour conductor guiding you, so there will be no emergency contact on the day. If you do not show up at the meeting time, the tour will be considered canceled and we will depart, so please make sure to check the meeting place yourself and arrive on time.

This tour is a joint tour departing and arriving at Dotonbori, Osaka. Please be aware that when you board the tour from Kyoto Station, passengers departing from Osaka will already be on board.
[Boarding restrictions for the Hozugawa River Cruise]
1. No one under 80cm tall may board.
2. No one who cannot properly wear a life jacket may board.
3. No one who is in poor health may board.
4. Disabled persons must be accompanied by one person for each Type 1 disabled person and Type 2 disabled person under 12 years of age. (Guide dogs may board.)
5. Wheelchair users must be accompanied by an attendant even if they are able to use the wheelchair by transferring to a seat, etc. (Wheelchairs cannot board by themselves.)
6. Children under the age of 2 are not permitted to participate, even if accompanied by an adult.
